Man United Transfer Roundup – Wednesday 23rd May

Transfer Roundup – Wednesday 23rd May

Once again the rumor mill has been in full swing and we haven’t even got the transfer window open yet. What is clear though is that the big players in the market want their business done before the Euros inflate the prices. Below is the best of the gossip on offer for Man United today. Let me known your thoughts in the comments section below

23/05/2012 – According to the agent of Udinese’s Kwadwo Asamoah, EPL giants Man United are one of several clubs showing interest in the Ghanaian. Asamoah was part of the heroic Ghanaian team in 2010 and plays a holding midfielder role. In physicality stakes I would say he is energetic and strong and would be very different from what we have at the moment. Interestingly he responded to the below tweet when quizzed by a United fan…. Make of that what you will. 😉

@jonnailed@Asabob20 any chance of plying your trade at Manchester United next year?? cmon tell me… #mufc” Haha you tell me

23/05/2012 – Juventus have not confirmed the Pogba transfer, just said they’re in well established talks. It looks likely the young French man is on his way out and to be honest its probably the best thing for us. Mercenaries are City’s game not ours and we are well off out of this. Unfortunately the kid has had his head turned by a greedy agent. I can see this concluded in the next few weeks

23/05/2012 – Today’s Times says that Manchester United would be happy to listen to offers for Brazilian midfielder Anderson this summer as they look to shape their midfield for the future.

There had been high hopes for Anderson at Old Trafford but injury, questionable fitness and struggles with form have cast a shadow over his future as a main part of our midfield. There’s been off the field issues with a serious car accident, which he was lucky to walk away from, and a recent report that he refused to take a breath test after being stopped by police in Brazil. The Times says “Manchester United are willing to listen to offers forAnderson. Sir Alex. The 24 year old is contracted until June 2015.Ferguson has problems in midfield with illness to Darren Fletcher and uncertainty over the futures of Park Ji Sung and Paul Pogba.”

Not an in depth but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him moved on. He has had a lot of time to prove himself and has only showed glimpses of what he can do in that time.

For anything to happen, someone has to make an offer first and with his wages and what United could want to recoup, not a lot may be forthcoming.

23/05/2012 – Lots of speculation in the Austrian media today that Man Utd are showing serious interest in Bayern Munich’s young defender David Alaba. Alaba is a player I’ve only seen a handful of times but from what I can gather he is a highly rated young left back who has also featured in midfield. Interesting after the Baines story yesterday another Left back is linked. There were rumors around the champion’s league final that David Gill had enquired about his availability with the Bayern Hierarchy.

23/05/2012 – Eden Hazard is set to make a decision on his future before 2nd June after his agent claimed that terms had been agreed with three clubs. The Belgian star signed off his Lille career in style with a stunning hat-trick as his side rounded off their Ligue 1 campaign with a 4-1 victory overNancy on Sunday – and it was thought he would then reveal his likely destination. Quoted in the Daily Telegraph, Hazard’s Agent  said: “We are no longer in the negotiations stage. We have reached agreement with all parties.

“Eden has already said he wants it to be fixed before June 2. He will decide after the (Belgium) games against Montenegro and England then go on holiday with peace of mind.” Bico added: “Eden is in the reflections stage and a decision will be taken quickly.

“Those who have come forward have a one-in-three chance.” United City andChelseaAnyone…..???

23/05/2012 – Kagawa won’t discuss or think about his future until after the next three Japan games. The Manchester United target Shinji Kagawa told Japanese press last night he won’t be making any decision for up to 3 weeks. The front runners for his signature is United and Arsenal apparently…
